Introducing Sue Hardy, principle Instructor.
I have over 30 years experience of living and working with dogs. I share my home with four dogs.
Two home bred Bichon Frise and a Beauceron. The Bichon Frise have all been shown at some point in thier lives but are
now elderly and enjoying a restful retirement. I have successfully completed all levels of The Kennel Club Good Citizen
dog scheme and I am qualified to examine at Bronze level.
I have attempted Working Trials training with my Beauceron.
This is a very exacting section of dog training. Not only does your dog need to be trained to a high standard, but both
dog and handler need to be physically fit. I would recomend it to anyone with the time and energy to take part.
I have attended several seminars about Canine behaviour and have passed the Animal Care College course, Understanding the
Canine/Human Interface. This has given me the opportunity to expand the theory behind canine behaviour to add to my
practical knowledge.
I am a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) Memb. No: 00820. The training
classes are a Kennel Club listed organisation. I am also a member of the Society for Companion Animal Studies (SCAS).
I am passionate about the importance of early socialisation of puppies. Without positive, early experiences,
an adult dog may find living in our busy world, truly confusing. This could lead to behavioural problems.
My
aim in life is to make a difference for dogs and for owners, so that we can all continue to appreciate and enjoy our most
loyal companions.
